During Week 8, 6CD participated in the Bebras Australia Computational Thinking Challenge run by the CSIRO Education and Outreach program, Digital Careers. The goal of the program, which is aligned to the Australian Curriculum, is to promote computational thinking skills in a way that highlights student abilities. The Bebras Online Challenge was a collaborative program with a mix of logic and maths questions. We all had strengths and weaknesses that made us debate over the correct answers. The experience was fun and engaging and I'm totally looking forward to doing it again later in the year. Students were anticipating the challenge. It was going to be 45 minutes of intensive logic and maths problem solving. More than 50 students solving questions, doing sums and debating answers.
