On Friday our school participated in supporting the “Day for Daniel” campaign.
The Students all wore red, donated a gold coin and the years P – 3 participated in Australia’s biggest Child Safety Lesson.
It was a live broadcast that involved children interacting with the presenters to learn about ‘being safe’ in an active, fun and
imaginative way. This opened up the opportunity to engage in other activities and discussions that taught the students the importance of being safe, how to stay safe and strategies to use when they don’t feel safe.
The older grades participated in the lessons and activities that
were recommended from the Daniel Morecombe Foundation.
We want to thank the MacGregor Community for supporting
such a worthwhile cause.
