YEAR ONE TEDDY BEAR’S PICNIC

22/05/2018
Year One students recently walked down to Granadilla Reserve to participate in a Teddy Bear’s Picnic. This serves two purposes, to expose the students to their local environment and the ability to complete an assessment task connected to real world experiences.
The Year One students enjoyed their visit to Granadilla Park last week. Thank you to the parents and teachers who helped make their excursion possible. Please read on to hear all about it from the students of Year One.
Reflections from students
On Friday morning the Year One students went to the park with the teachers, parents and our teddy bears for a teddy bears picnic. First we went to the park. Next we played the parachute. We had lots of fun. Then we put our teddy bears on the parachute. After that we went on a nature walk. Finally, we drew a map.

On Friday morning the Year One students went to the park with the teachers, parents and our teddy bears. First we walked to the park. We saw cars going through the road. Next we played on the parachute. It was fun because we threw our teddy bears on the parachute. Then we used the kickers. We got to kick our teddy bears high in the sky. After that we went for a nature walk. We were looking for natural, managed and constructed landscapes. Finally we drew a map of the park. My favourite part was the parachute.
