At MacGregor we provide specialist educational support for those students who have a verified disability such as physical impairment (PI), speech-language impairment (SLI), intellectual impairment (II), autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), vision impairment (VI) and hearing impairment (HI).  MacGregor Special Education Program is a regional facility for children with physical impairment who are unable to access programs at their local school.

The program emphasis for students with disabilities at MacGregor Primary School is on inclusion. Students are part of their mainstream classes for all or most of their school day. Special education support is based on each child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP). The delivery of the program will depend upon the child’s level of need for support and the nature of their disability.
