Over the past two weeks, the Prep students have had the opportunity to experience what life is like in the country by spending a day at the picturesque Trevena Glen Farm which is
situated at the foothills of the D’Aguilar Range.
Whilst there, the students met the friendly miniature ponies, goats, guinea pigs, chickens, pigs, donkeys, horses, cows and farmers.
The students participated in activities such as, horse riding, wagon rides, animal feeding and making the animal food.
The students had a wonderful day learning about living things, their farm habitat and their needs.
The teachers and farmers were thrilled with the students’ behaviour and are thankful to all parent volunteers who attended the excursion.
Along with visiting the farm, the Prep students have been talking about the needs of living things and how a healthy environment can provide needs such as, water, food, shelter for the animals
and plants to survive.
