Prep Orientation Day Friday, 27 November, 8.45-11.00 am
Prep is the first year of school and provides the foundation for your child's education. It is compulsory for Queensland children to undertake Prep prior to Year 1. Prep is a full-time program in primary schools and has a defined curriculum.
Children must be five years old by the 30th of June in the year they enrol in Prep. This means that if your child was born between 1 July 2021 and 30 June 2022, they are eligible to commence in Prep in 2027.

Parents enrolling their child in school have the option of an early or delayed start. Enrolment age variations may be due to a child's development and readiness, and could improve their ability to learn.
If you are considering Early Entry to Prep, please contact the school to arrange to meet with the Principal or the delegate to discuss the early entry requirements and request an application form.

2027 PREP OUT OF CATCHMENT EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Enrolment of students from the outside local catchment area will be available only if vacancies exist.
All enquires can be directed to our Enrolment Officer at the email address enrolment@macgregorss.eq.edu.au
Families will be contacted by MacGregor State School if the school has a vacancy when an out-of-catchment enrolment becomes available, usually in Term 4.
All Expression of Interest applications will remain on the waiting list until school commences the following year.
