Volunteering

At MacGregor State School there are many opportunities to be able to volunteer. Volunteering gives you a great opportunity to meet other parents and staff while giving back to the school and the students.  The MacGregor State School P&C hold many fundraisers throughout the year seeking your help as a volunteer.  There is a range of roles to volunteer for and some can even be done from home.  Some of the fundraising events include:

Mayfest: To make Mayfest a success we need around 200 volunteers. If you can give even an hour it makes such a difference.

Multidraw raffle: We are very lucky to be able to raffle a car for our Multidraw main prize. To ensure this raffle is a success we need volunteers of parents and students to assist selling tickets in the shopping centre. It’s a great way to encourage your children to be a part of the volunteer community.

Mothers/Fathers/Christmas Stall: It takes a great team and a full year  to ensure these stalls are a success. If you can help wrap presents from home or at school or help on the day of the stall you will be bringing a smile to many kids faces when they have a chance to buy that special gift.

Assisting in canteens: During many events at the school we hold canteens to help raise funds. These days call for volunteers also.

Working Bees: during fund raising events we hold night time working bees. If you can’t assist through the day this is a great opportunity to help the team.

MacGregathon and Fun Run: These events need volunteers to help on the day and with collating all the donations.

Tuckshop and Uniform Shop: If you have any spare time we would love to hear from you.We are always looking for parents/ grandparents to volunteer in the tuckshop and uniform/Stationery shop. Once a week, month or term, you would be very welcome.Come and meet other parents in our school community. Please contact Angie in the tuckshop if you can help andRos in the Uniform Shop.

If you can help in any of these areas or have questions about volunteering please contact Anita Grady at secretary@msspc.org.au or call 0415 538 689.
